January Hilights

One month down, eleven to go! It's been so much fun going from one child to two. Janalyn has always been such a busy bee and Jack is just busy trying to process all of her CRAZINESS!!! Here are some of the highlights from the month of January:

We've been making a special effort to have Family Home Evening every Monday night. This is one of our MANY New Years Resolutions. Earlier this month, we made edible snow flakes for our treat, yum! Check out the two year old next to that sizzling pan of tortilla snowflakes and HOT cooking oil - Good job Mom!
We have the privelage of having Christina's cousin, Dana and her little girl, Shaelyn over occationaly on Tuesday nights . This last visit, Jack had fun sharing his toys with his cousin.

Shhhhhh, Be quiet!

Uncle Scotty came through on his way to Tucson. We had fun taking Uncle to church with us, eating homemake tortilla soup and playing Rummikub

I can't seem to get enough of my scrumpish kids! I keep the camera close by, in case I see a moment I want to capture forever. One day, I went in to wake Sleeping Beauty (or as Janalyn says, 'Booty') up from her 'booty' sleep. I tucked Jack in next to her. She loved it; he looked a bit worried!

On Tuesday mornings, I watch my friend's little boy, Scott. Janalyn and Scott's favorite thing to do is play with her dress ups. Here is some serious blackmail for this little guy someday!

Here are some more fun memories in the making

Baby Blues!

Giddy up horsey!

With Jack swipping at the food on our plates and trying to shove it in his mouth before we can get it away, we decieded to try giving him a little rice cereal. Now, to all you moms out there that think that giving a 3 1/2 month old solids this early is horrible, MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!

We barbequed one night and used the hot coals to make S'mores! We didn't have any of the large marshmellows so we had to work with the small ones. S'mores anyone?

Looking forward to a good 2009!
